Great Gable and Skiddaw
Went up to the lakes last weekend to do a couple of big* hills we haven’t done before – great Gable and Skiddaw.
Near the top of Great Gable there is a cairn called Westmorland Cairn – the view from this is pretty amazin – In this photograph you can make out the outline of the Isle of Man to the left of me and to the right dumfries and Galloway in Scotland.
*by English standards… Great Gable is 899 meters/2949ft and Siddaw is 931 meters/3054 feet
