This is the first time I have ever photographed GAA and I’m not sure why it has taken me so long because my first experience of it is that it is even better than soccer to photograph, players holding the ball longer and close proximity of the players to the ball make for good shots in my estimation, and GAA football looks to have plenty of that – think i’ll do this again
As for the game, Liverpool based John Mitchells (blue and yellow) were the favourites before the game and certainly looked the stronger side but some poor misses in front of goal and hitting the post some 4 times allowed a St Ann’s of Stretford (all blue) a glimmer of hope, particularly with a strong showing early in the second half – it wasn’t to be however as John Mitchells ended up winners by (I think) 4 points
If anyone from either club is reading this, I would be very grateful if you could point me in the direction of a fixture list – much appreciated
